This weekend provides you with an amazing opportunity to evaluate your riding position. All humans are asymmetrical, but as riders our asymmetry can have negative affects on our horse. If you have ever wondered if you sit to one side, or if it was you that caused your saddle to slip or prevented your horse from lifting his back then a session with PI (the electronic saddle horse) and rider biomechanics coach, Fran Griffith, will enable you to find the answers.
So, if the answer is yes to any of the above, or even if you just want to reconfirm how totally perfect you are, then come along to the Posture Assessment Clinic on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of September at the Rudry Village Hall in Caerphilly and have a ride on PI.
Sensors under PI’s “feet” detect if you are sitting in balance whist carefully positioned cameras capture your posture. You may well be surprised by just how far back (or forward) you are sitting. Take the time to learn what a neutral seat feels like, so that you can use weight aids to the maximum advantage.
Sensors on the reins analyse your contact and whether it is equal with both hands. Check out your half halts, do you release fast enough, and can you release the half halt without throwing the contact away?
See if you can ride a straight line on your seat alone or if you subconsciously hang on to one rein. Then if time permits, try your hand at circles and voltes!
In addition to the 45 minute awareness, assessment and instruction session you will also receive a detailed report of your session and an informative e-book on the Seat & Contact.
Sessions are 45 minutes long and cost £60 per person.
